The stomatal inhibition of gas exchange by maize under water deficit

Publication at Faculty of Science |
2009

Abstract

The results show a clear negative effect from drought on the rate of photosynthesis, transpiration rate and stomatal conductance by maize. The rate of photosynthesis and transpiration was lowest by the stressed plants about 38.52% and 30.38% in comparison with control plants.

The stomatal conductance was 0.06 mol m-2 s-1 (stress) and 0.09 mol m-2 s-1 (control).
