Abstract
The material of the family Helophoridae from the United Arab Emirates was examined, containing only one species Helophorus angustatus Motschulsky, 1890. The species is diagnosed and illustrated, its variability is evaluated by the comparison of the specimens from the Emirates with those from Iran.
