3.3 Apartment Lease and Apartment Ownership - Satisfying Housing Needs and the Housing Policy through Modifications of the Legislation

Abstract

The author focuses on developments of the legislation on the apartment lease and the apartment ownership. He observes the historical evolution of the legislation beginning with the Roman Law up to present.

The chapter also analyses the regulation in force that is contained in the Civil Code. Statistical data and policy suggestions are considered as well.
