Abstract
The article “Transition Metals - Creation of a Learning Text” presents a systematic work on the preparation of a modern chemistry textbook. The aim of the work is to introduce results of didactics research into the practice and to connect the theoretical and experimental part of the education with the daily experience of students.
The textbook should not only bring a sum of information to the students but it should also lead them to active participation on the education process and information search.
