Abstract
The introducing chapter presents the institutional context of the monograph, as well as its main research goals, structure, conceptual frameworks and results. The monograph consists of nine comprehensive chapters that summarize the development of most crucial sub-dsiciplines and concepts in the post-World War II research, such as cultural history, social history, gender history, postocolonial history, historical narrativism, historical materialism, psychohistory etc.
The authors analyze how particular theories, conceptual frameworks and terminology were addopted and transformed in the period´s Czech historiography, how they turned to rhetorical figures, participated on historical narrativity or constituted social relations.
