Four new freshwater diatom species (Bacillariophyceae) from Antarctica

Abstract

Four new diatom species belonging to the genera Achnanthidium, Placoneis, Geissleria and Stauroneis were observed during a survey of the non-marine diatom flora of several islands in the Maritime Antarctica and South Georgia.
