Role of protein kinases in chronic intermitent hypoxia-induced cardioprotection

Abstract

The chapter summarizes available experimental data concerning the effects of various forms and protocols of chronic hypoxia on myocardial expression, subcellular distribution and activity of protein kinases, and evaluates the current evidence indicating their involvement in the cardioprotective mechanism.
