Abstract
Extensive reform of educational system has been under way in the Czech Republic since 2001. The presented contribution reports on the extent to which this situation is reflected in geographical education.
Besides summarising of current state (till 2007) there are presented possible steps leading to improving of quality of geographical education in Czechia.
