Cloning of transgenic tobacco BY-2 cells; an efficient method to analyse and reduce high natural heterogeneity of transgene expression

Abstract

Introduction of an easy and efficient method for cloning of transgenic tobacco cell lines. The method allows analysis of sources of high natural variability of transgene expression and provides a way to generate lines with homogeneous transgene expression.
