Abstract
Review describing the results of 30 years of discovery and explanation of the neurotransmitter non-quantal leakage and physiological meaning of this phenomenon. It is extremely important for synapse maturation and stabilization in adulthood.
The early postdenervation depolarization is convincingly explained by lack of this non-quantal release of acetylcholine during nerve ending deterioration.
