Several episodes of new particle formation followed by slow condensational growth were observed in a large construction hall during colloquial measurement of air quality within 5- 22 May 2007. Both nucleation and growth resemble those processes in open atmosphere.
Appearance near midday and relative humidity indoor below 50% were characteristic for nucleation. Condensational growth rates - GR were about 2.6 nmh-1.
Near the same GR value we recorded in free urban atmosphere in Prague at roof-top station. But in the hall, the growths were frequently interrupted by personal activity indoors within working shifts.
Out of working shifts, one case of undisturbed growth lasting for 18 hours was recorded.
