Time in the very context of Aristotle’s Nicomachean Ethics

Publication at Faculty of Mathematics and Physics |
2009

Abstract

The chapter shows that time in Aristotle's ethics cannot be understood in the way it is treated in Physics IV, where time is connected with the concept of KINÉSIS. In the Ethics, however, the central concept is (moral) action: ENERGEIA.

The article also gives account of other important aristotelian concepts (HEXIS, EUDAIMONIA etc.) from the perspective of time.
