Abstract
The demographic and social changes are shown in the structure of households of mainly young persons. The leaving home of independent children with the aim of starting a new household has been postponed to higher age since the 90th.
It changed concurrently the structure of households of individuals (mainly households of young men has grown) and the structure of family households (more childless two-parent families). Consequently the average size of households between years 2002 and 2008 declined
