This study analyses several types of behaviour of households in 10 OECD countries (Australia, Canada, Czech Republic, France, Italy, Korea, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway and Sweden) with a direct link to energy-saving. In particular, the analysis has focused on electric appliance penetration, energy-saving behaviour of households, and efficiency investments.
The study is based on analysis of data from a representative web-based household survey conducted in 10 OECD countries. Various types of statistical models are used to uncover determinants of appliance penetration, energy-conserving behaviour, and efficiency investments.
