The present contribution deals with evaluation of teeth condition of the "Knoviz" and "Štítar" population living in our territory in the middle and late Bronze Age. In addition to the occurrence of caries the monitoring also focused on presence of abscesses and the occurrence of enamel hypolasia.
Caries troubled 47% of the members of the Knoviz culture. Inflammation centres, usually localised near tooth root apex, occurred in 1.1 % of the population.
Linear enamel hypoplasia was found in 40% of the studied individuals, most frequently in connection with permanent canines.
