A Brief Overview of the Life and Thought of Nicholas of Cusa

Abstract

The study is an introduction to the philosophy of Nicholas of Cusa. It presents the key motives of his thought (including cosmology and reflections on religious tolerance) and places them into the contemporary context.

At the same time it concentrates also on the late Cusanus’ philosophy and the role of possest (actualised-possibility).
