The Environmentally Induced Migration in China

Abstract

The prime aim of the chapter is to highlight selected links between environmental conditions and human migration flows in China. In this way author aspires to contribute to booming the current debate dealing with the issue, especially in the context of development induced displacement.

The second aim of the work is analysis of changes in social and economic conditions of displacees from the Three Gorges Dam area.
