The System of Undergraduate Education of Chemistry Teachers at the Universities in the Czech Republic

Abstract
This article contains the characteristics and analysis of the current structured undergraduate education of the future chemistry teachers at the universities in Czech Republic, not only scientifically, but also pedagogically oriented. Our aim is to point at the conceptual discrepancies between the preparation of teachers at the majority of universities and the demands for the real teachers` performance in their everyday practice.
Problems of the curriculum for the undergraduate education of teachers consist mainly in the theoretical and practical part of the preparation of the future teachers and their insufficient training in terms of the pedagogical and methodological area.
