Abstract

Recollections of the first attempts at their own association in the narratives of the Bulgarians who came in 1946 and 1949 to the Czech borderland within a state-organized recruitment campaign of workforce for agriculture. Classification of the forms, objectives and impact of informal organizational efforts in the interpretation of the protagonists who eventually attained education at Czech universities, settled down in Czechoslovakia/the Czech Republic and at present, they are prominent bearers of Bulgarian association life.
