A review of the effects of intensive fish production on waterbird breeding populations

Abstract

The breeding populations of most water bird species in the Czech Republic increased until the 1970s and then dropped. Fishpond management has been shown to be an important factor, and this paper summarizes current knowledge about effect of fishpond management on waterbird breeding populations.
