Actual Population Forecasts on the Czech Republic - Comparison of Basic Assumptions

Abstract

The pattern of recent population development in the Czech Republic has been characterized by several changes which have significant impact on future development. To get some ideas how the future population development could look like in the Czech Republic, several population forecast and projections were originated.

This article compares basic mortality, fertility and migration assumptions of five currently relevant population projections.
