Abstract
The aim of nationwide hearing screening is an early diagnosis of hearing disorders to prevent delayed speech development, psychosocial and cognitive abilities. It is important to examine each child immediately in the maternity hospital, where it is possible to capture all the children and the very early stage of hearing impairment.
From 2012 the Journal MZ about the screening of hearing is valid. This article deals with the current situation in Pilsen and Karlovy Vary region.
