Abstract

Ventilation, respiratory, metabolic and endocrine lung function belongs to the strictly regulated, controlled and interdependent basic life functions of an organism. Ventilatory function is cyclic exchange of air between the external environment and the lung alveoli.

It is set so that the ventilation lung capacity exceeded the physiological needs of the body. This is reliably secured one of the basic conditions effective gas exchange at alveolocapillary membranes, ie. respiratory lung function.

The second condition of gas exchange is sufficient blood flow to the pulmonary vasculature.
