Failure to provide assistance and other criminal law implications of the guidelines respecting DNR

Publication at Faculty of Law |
2010

Abstract

The issue of DNR (Do Not resuscitate - not to initiate resuscitation) is at an impasse. The situation requires a special regulation, which would be contributing to the provision to withhold assistance that addresses the patient's previously expressed wishes.

The new rules must have the nature of law, not enough to subordinate legal standard, as well as enough actual wording in the Convention on Biomedicine.
