Extended paper from the International Barth Symposium in Jena (May 2006) surveys and evaluates Czech translations and reviews of Barth´s books, Czech monographs in interwar and postwar Czech theology dedicated to the most significant theologian of 20th century, and makes the periodization of the Czech reception of Barth as a dialectical and neoorthodox (1923-1948), political functionalized (1948-1970) and church domesticated (1970-1989) Barthianism.
