Balloon Dilatation - Conservative Treatment of Congenital Oesophageal Stenoses

Abstract

In 1990-1999 at the Clinic of Paediatric Surgery in Prague Motol 5 patients with congenital oesophageal stenosis were treated. In all patients dilatations of the stenosis were indicated.

In one case bougies were used, in the remainder balloon dilatation under skiascopic control. Of these patients one was operated, in the remainder repeated dilatations were the definite solution.
