The Satisfaction and the Payment-Receipt Clauses in the Aramaic Legal Tradition: Between Egypt and Levant

Abstrakt

In the study the author analyzes the Aramaic legal formulae concerning the satisfaction with the transaction recorded in a deed and the receipt of the payment for the transaction. The legal texts from Egypt and Levant seem to be based upon two different influences.
