The chapter describes technics of cystectomy. Cystectomy in male usually includes resection of the bladder with prostate and seminal vesicles, exceptionally the prostate with vesicles can be preserved.
In case of inolvement the urethra distally from the colicle urethrectomy is indiated. In females with negative biopsy of the bladder neck the urethra can be spared.
In other case cystectomy includes also urethrectomy. In fertile females the vagina, uterus and adnexa can be left in case of invazive tumor free trigone, posterior and lateral bladder wall.
In premenopauseal females ovaria can be preserved.
