Skin diseases in the neonatal period

Publication |
2002

Abstract

The authors present an overview of the most common skin manifestations on newborn skin. The spectrum and clinical picture of neonatal dermatoses are completely different from the skin diseases of older children and adults.

The clinical characteristics of each disease are emphasized in such a way as to make it easier for pediatricians and dermatologists who do not encounter skin disease in newborns too often to make a correct diagnosis.
