Nitric oxide inhalation in children with single functional ventricle following total cavopulmonary connection

Abstract

The circulation in patients with single functional ventricle following Fontan procedure, is critically dependent on a low pulmonary vascular resistance. The study reviews the vasodilator effects of inhaled nitric oxide on the pulmonary circulation.
