Cerebral Salt Wasting Syndrome as the Cause of Hypoatraemia in Patients at a Medical Department

Publication at Third Faculty of Medicine |
2001

Abstract

Hyponatremia is often attributed to the syndrome of inappropriate antidiuretic hormone secretion or to the cerebral salt wasting syndrome. Monitoring of renal function tests is important during the care of patients with central nervous system disorders.

Two patients succesfully treated for CSW are described.
