Quality of life from the life events and social change points of view

Publication at Third Faculty of Medicine |
2002

Abstract

The article examined the impact of social changes and life events on health and subjectively perceived quality of life. No statistical significant correlation was found between the experienced live events and health or quality of life.

Some of the transition changes even stimulated an improvement of life situation and were positively assessed. The survey has rather proved an uneven distribution of gains and losses in the population that is influenced by health indicators, age, education and sometimes also by gender.
