Abstrakt
The article examines changing communication patterns of the Czech physicians in the 90's. Positive changes towards more open communication with patiens are documented, however a discrepancy between the verbal acceptance of the communication demands and cultural patterns of medical practice persists.
While on the ethical level the legitimacy of the patients rights on information has been acknowledged from the organisational view, the communication process continues still to be under exclusive control of physicians
