Abstract
application of intrauterine system with levonorgestrel is advangeous contribution to individialisation of hormonal replacemnet therapy. Mirena together with systemic estrogen therapy protect sufficiently from endometrial proliferation, without general negative side effects of progestin.
In period of premenopause a perimenopause Mirena provides reliable contraceptive effect and helps to reduce possible difficulties associated with menstrual cycle irregularities.
