Abstract

The care about patients with neurogenic disorder of lower urinary tract represents one of the most complicated areas of urological practice. Inadequate steps in the diagnostic procedures and a treatment of such dysfunctions lead to significant decrease of life quality.

Besides, in the medium- and long-term interval it can end in serious damage of the upper urinary tract or even patient-s death. In the treatment of neurogenic dysfunctions of lower urinary tract we have to consider also the degree if patient-s primary neurological disease and overall physical and mental status.

Therefore, individual approach to each patient is necessary. Steadily ongoing progress in understanding the neurophysiology of lower urinary tract and neuropathophysiology of neurogenic voiding dysfunctions leads to the development of new diagnostic and treatment methods resulting in improvement of patient-s health status and quality of life
