Hebephrenic (disorganized) schizophrenia is an uncommon type characterized by clinical course and symptoms. The pathophysiology and metabolic brain changes (regional brain metabolizm) of this type are not well established.
In our case study we present results of 18FDG PET (18F-deoxyglucose Positron Emission Tomography) and qEEG (quantitative EEG analysis) investigation of an 18-years old man with the first episode of disorganized schizophrenia.
