Abstract
Macular diseases has recently devoted more and more ophthalmologists. According to the World Health Organization, the disease affects a growing population.
Comprehensive Atlas macular diseases aims to map out the issue in all its breadth and submit timely and comprehensive overview of its current state. In the introductory section describes the anatomy and diagnostic methods.
Other chapters are devoted to hereditary diseases, acquired macular disease, cardiovascular diseases, malignant and benign tumors, injuries, toxic and inflammatory diseases. Finally, therapeutic methods are summarized.
Each chapter is systematically processed and has a clear structure: symptoms - diagnosis - differential diagnosis - therapy - prognosis. The various types of diseases have been compiled more than 220 case reports, which contain over 1,300 images of high quality technical and professional created thanks to cutting-edge instrumentation work of authors, a wide spectrum of patients and the introduction of modern therapeutic methods in practice.
All case studies are also mentioned in the English language. Monograph is a summary of actual knowledge in this field and will certainly indispensable manual for everyday practice ophthalmologists not only at the clinics.
