Abstract
Anxiety disorders are the most common mental disorders that affects a big part of population. They are met not only by psychiatrists and psychotherapists but also by general practicioners, and health and social workers.
The publication brings a compact overview of anxiety disorders. It deals with their origination, diagnosis and development in childhood as well as in adult age.
Above all, it summarizes new trends in complex treatment of anxiety disorders, which means a combination of psychotherapy and pharmacotherapy. The text is enriched by amount of casuistry.
