Digital morphology of 3D magnetic resonance of the brain can help to classify Alzheimer disease. The brain ventricles are the subject of digital morphological investigation.
Following the determination of the threshold and segmentation the basic digital morphologic analysis can be performed. The results of previous analysis are transformed to radial variables first.
They are based on the radii of equivalent spheres with the same properties. A set of radial characteristics is then obtained.
Their ratios are dimensionless and will help to classify the Alzheimer disease from normal aging.
