Abstract

New neuropsychological facts supporting long preclinical phase of Alzheimer's disease are reviewed in the article. Simple cognitive tests provide tools to use novel information.

Furthermore options and trends in neurochemical diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease using protein triplet beta-amyloid, tau protein and phosphotau protein from cerebrospinal fluid are summarized.
