Combination of thermal and mechanical injury. Case report on the less frequent type of polytrauma

Abstract

Polytrauma represents very difficult medical and social problem. Combination of skeletal or intestinal trauma with burns is associated with high risk of mortality and morbidity.

Authors present a case report of joung patient with sceletal ( femur fracture) , intestinal trauma( lung contusion) and cutaneous burn trauma of 62% body surface 3.th degree area in combination with inhalation injury.Authors discuss options of surgical treatment and multidisciplinary approach.
