Lower lip in patients with complete unilateral cleft

Abstract

The aim of the study was to find out whether there are different lower lip dimensions in the sample of patients with complete unilateral cleft. Cephalometric evaluation of horizontal and vertical measurements of facial hard tissues and lower lip profile were performed, and lower lip area was assessed with the help of planimetry in the sample of patients with complete unilateral cleft (n = 32) and in the control group (n=30).

The comparison of the results proved significantly larger retrusion ofthe lower lip with more profound labiomental fold in the patiens with complete unilateral cleft
