Abstract

Grapefruit juice is grateful carrier issue whenever we begin to talk about pharmacokinetic interactions. It is primarily known for its inhibitory effects on intestinal cytochrome, thus significantly affecting the pharmacokinetic parameters of a number of drugs.

However, in a similar context can be found in the literature mentions only the grapefruit juice, but also other fruit juices. Perhaps the most comprehensive review on the subject brings recently published meta-analysis published in the journal Drug Safety in 2005.
