Publication at Third Faculty of Medicine |
2008

Abstract

Continuous administration of intrathecal baclofen using pump systems has proven effective in severe spasticity. Possible pump system complications are classified into pharmacological complications, problems associated with the implantation of the system, and complications related to the activity of the system as such.

The study provides a list of complications and the respective solutions applied in our set of patients.
