Abstract
The laparoscopic assisted vaginal hysterectomy (LAVH) was introduced in the year 1988. Since this date we register a wide spread of this technique in gynecologic surgery for benign and malignant disease.
It combines two very advantageous operative access ? vaginal and laparoscopic. Until now there were published also other different types of laparosopic hysterectomy e. g. total laparoscopic hysterectomy (TLH).
This article is a review of different types of laparoscopic hysterectomy and their indications. It also presents author 's personal exeperience with this technique and the position of laparoscopic hysterectomy in the teaching hospital
