Publication at Third Faculty of Medicine |
2009

Abstract

Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation is arising as a new modality in the treatment of severe symptomatic aortic stenosis. This method has recently been introduced to the Czech Republic.

It is reserved for the high risk patient population and requires close interdisciplinary co-operation where an experienced cardiac anaesthetist has an important role. The authors present their initial experience with 7 cases.
