Abstrakt
Czech dermatology started its modern history already in early fourties of the nineteenth century. At the very begining it was linked to the German speaking science because Austrian and German dermatologists often worked at the Charles University Prague.
This was also the reason why German Dermatology Society was founded in 1889 in Prague. Historical and modern connections among Czech and German speaking dermatologists are listed and discussed in the book
