Abstract

Hybrid imaging technique positron emission tomography (PET) and computed tomography (CT) is a combination of functional and morpho-anatomical whole body imaging. The author is a comprehensive overview of the basic principles of PET, CT and hybrid imaging and the most important clinical indications.

Review knowledge about the use of PET and PET/CT in patients with tumors of bones and connective tissue is done.
