Methods to decrease limit of detection in capillary electrophoresis with using no selective detectors

Publication at Third Faculty of Medicine |

Abstract

Two simple techniques to decrease limit of detection in capillary electrophoresis at 0.1 micromole level are demonstrated on determination of biologically active compounds. An addition of acetonitrile to the sample of nervous tissue microdialysate facilitates the determination of glycine as neurotransmitter with limit of detection 0.2 µmol/L.

The using of short end injection technique decreases the limit of detection for determination of uric acid in alantoic fluid of chicken embryos on the level 0.8 µmol/L.
