Abstract

A case report of an insertion without vascular prothesis and with delayed sternal closure Transaortic balloon counterpulsation is an alternative method used in patients with critical lower limbs ischemia or abdominal aortal aneurysm, both preventing classical implantation via femoral artery. Case report describes the application of the method without a commonly used graft, with temporarily open sternum and a beneficial subsequent effect.
